Monel RTJ flanges are predominantly made up of nickel (63-70%) and copper (28-34%) along with traces of iron manganese carbon and silicon. They have superior mechanical properties, such as a high tensile strength (550-850 MPa) and yield strength (240-380 MPa) and good fatigue endurance. Monel flanges retain superior toughness and ductility even at subzero temperatures. They are physically non-magnetic with a density of 8.83 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1,350-1,400°C Monel’s seawater, acid and alkali corrosion resistance qualifies it for use in extreme marine and chemical environments.
