Super duplex steel socket weld flanges are basically composed of 50-60% austenite and 40-50% ferrite, with alloying materials such as chromium (about 22%), molybdenum (3%) and nickel (4-6%) These flanges are higher strength , good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracks. Mechanical properties include yield strengths of 550-700 MPa and tensile strengths of 800-1000 MPa.
